Az is the General Counsel in Marlin Operations Group, Inc. His primary responsibilities include overseeing all legal matters related to the Marlin funds and their portfolio companies.

Previously, Az was a founding associate of the Los Angeles office of Cooley LLP where he focused on mergers and acquisitions, venture financings and general corporate representation. Prior thereto, he was an associate with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP where his practice focused on mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and leveraged finance. Az earned a J.D. from UCLA School of Law and a B.A. from University of California, Los Angeles.
